One of the largest constructions companies in Lithuania – Conresta – is building the new production and warehousing premises for UAB Ikarai, producing advanced liquid fertilisers. The 1st stage of the construction involves building an almost 2000 sq.m area building, worth of about 1.5 million EUR. The company decided to invest into Kėdainiai free economic zone by building a liquid suspension fertiliser plant, which will include the buildings constructed by Conresta contracting partner. In the future the almost 4 ha territory will have a railway access with a concrete cargo handling area.
The building for production and warehousing will include production facilities, as well as warehouses for raw materials and products. The plant will produce liquid fertilisers, therefore, the constructions must be particularly resistant to alkalines and acids.
One-storey buildings with mezzanines will be arranged in an angular position. This year will feature the completion of the 1st part along Vakarų street, while the other construction stages will feature another part, located along the north-eastern edge of the plot, thus forming a semi-closed inner yard. The production is expected to expand and thus the construction projects for the stages II and III are already prepared. These will involve building a heated logistics warehouse and two additional production lines, which will enable to increase the production capacity. Near the plant there will also be a modern 300 sq.m laboratory. The total estimate of the future object will exceed 3 million Euros.
